The Working Group on Racism, Fundamentalism, Violence

Analysis, prevention, research and counselling for pedagogical fields of work (ARFG)

The Working Group on Racism, Fundamentalism and Violence (ARFG) was founded, among others, by members of the specialist group on Diversity-conscious Social Pedagogy and considers it its task to contribute to analysis, research, the development of counter-concepts, prevention and the consultation and networking of pedagogical fields of work.

This ranges from the investigation and evaluation of existing programs and services, the development of materials and concepts, their testing for political education work in schools and out-of-school settings to the further training of educational staff. In addition, basic research on orientations, practices and media behaviour of children/adolescents as well as analyses of discourses and media that children/adolescents refer to in the context of racism and fundamentalism are also part of the work of the centre.
