The research module ger411 / AM 11 in the Bachelor's programme
BA German Studies students who have opted for the 90 CP option must study a research module (ger411 / AM 11) as a compulsory module.
The research module is worth 12 CP. This corresponds to a workload of 360 hours.
The aim is to carry out a concrete research project, the competences to be acquired: the development of a concrete question, consideration of suitable methods, targeted literature research and processing, ability to summarise the results in a concentrated manner, according to the module description.
The research module can be linked to a course, depending on the specific research project. It should be completed within two semesters.
At the beginning of the course, the responsible professors invite students to a meeting to discuss the further procedure - individual agreements must be made. These individual agreements concern
- the content, the question of the research project
- the method
- the specific ongoing supervision (connection to a course, presentation within this course if necessary, consultation appointments, etc.)
- the type of 'result' (research report, portfolio, concrete analyses ... depending on the research question)
The dates will be announced shortly before the start of the lecture period or in the first week of the course by circular email to the participants who have registered for the respective course in ger411 via Stud.IP.
