Lunch Time Talks
30-45 minutes online about diversity in an educational setting
Short online inputs and discussion with other post-docs, PhDs or students from the Universities of Oldenburg (Germany), Groningen, NHL Stenden (Netherlands) and Nelson Mandela University (South Africa).
Faculty or students give an impression about their research (and/or teaching) on one of the issues of diversity, ideally with regards to the context of education. No preparation needed. Just come in, relax and join the discussion.
This easy format is part of the DAAD project to internationalise teacher education (Lehramt.International) at the University of Oldenburg but also at the partner institutions in South Africa and the Netherlands.

- 22 May 2024 (Wed) 12 noon: International competences for teachers. An overview of potential learning outcomes of internationalisation (speakers: Jette Thönissen and Gabriela van Staden from Nuffic, the Dutch organisation for the internationalisation of education)
- 19 June 2024 (Wed) 13: Teachers’ self-confidence in Germany and South Africa (speaker: Denise Schürmann, graduate student of Biology at the University of Oldenburg writing her master thesis)
- 26 June 2024 (Wed) 12 noon: Diversity in music education? Power relations, positionality and exchange in transcultural music education (speaker: Shanti Suki Osman teaches at the Institute of Music at the University of Oldenburg)
