The composite bar magnet is suspended in the lecture theatre. Due to its high field strength, it aligns itself in the earth's magnetic field despite its relatively high mass.

Another high-field magnet can be used to demonstrate the force effect at distances > 1 metre.

Furthermore, a force sensor can be fitted with a magnet and the distance dependence can be qualitatively tested. Attention must be paid to the smallest changes in distance, otherwise the measurement objects will collide.
