Wed, 29 June 2022: It was a hot summer day - the atmosphere was tense as 6 PPRE teams stepped on
to the court, ready to defend their honour and claim the title of “Beach Volleyball Champions 2022”.
There were 2 teams each from PPRE 20-22 and SuRE 21-23, and one team each from PPRE Alumni and
PPRE Staff.

Every team did their best, but the final match came down to the staff team and the 20-22 (2) team.
The staff team had not lost a single game in the last decade, and therefore the student team had their work cut out for them. It was a great final to watch as both teams were well matched, making it a close game with the final score ending at 21-18 in favour of the staff.
Overall, the tournament was a success – not only because of the great matches and friendly
competition between the teams, but most importantly because it was the first event in two years
where all the staff and students could get together to chat, laugh, eat yummy snacks, and drink some beer!
