On March 3rd, 2020, the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Colombia organized an event called “National conversation for the acceleration of the energy transition” in Bogota. Over 200 people, including academics, people from small industries and big utility companies, gathered to collaborate around four main topics: energy efficiency, electro-mobility, energy generation, and economic solutions. For each of the topics, the main challenges and possible solutions were discussed and will be put into action by the Ministry of Energy. Two of our students from Colombia participated, namely Maria Marcela Fragozo Diaz (EMRE 2017-18), who participated in the electro-mobility part and Maria Fernanda Davila (PPRE 2018-20), who contributed to the energy generation part.
