The joint project "Energetic Neighbourhood Quarter Fliegerhorst Oldenburg" (ENaQ), led by OFFIS, won the ODH-Quartier Award in the "Integration" category.
On 29 November 2023, the ODH-Quartier Awards were presented for the first time at the Open District Hub Autumn Forum 2023 in Munich. The award honours outstanding residential districts that have made a special contribution to the sector coupling of electricity, heat and mobility. The joint project "Energetic Neighbourhood Quarter Fliegerhorst Oldenburg" (ENaQ), led by OFFIS, won in the "Integration" category.
Under the motto "Energy from neighbours for neighbours", the joint project ENaQ developed a climate-friendly and forward-looking energy concept with 21 partners for the Helleheide residential quarter on the Oldenburg air base. "The award is a great success for Oldenburg's energy systems research and not only recognises ENaQ as an outstanding project, but also underlines the importance of innovative neighbourhood developments for a sustainable and climate-neutral future," says Prof. Dr Sebastian Lehnhoff, OFFIS Chairman of the Board and Scientific Director of the joint project.
