Research
In the Ambulatory Assessment of Psychology lab (short: Amba-Lab), we investigate cognition and behavior in older people and in clinical populations (e.g. people with Alzheimer's dementia or Parkinson's disease) and possible non-pharmacological interventions to prevent cognitive decline in the outpatient setting.
Our goals include e.g.:
- understanding the changes in cognition and social cognition in healthy aging and in various neurodegenerative diseases.
- recording of cognitive and socio-cognitive changes in the ambulatory setting.
- exploring the effectiveness and feasibility of non-pharmacological interventions (such as cognitive training, physical interventions and non-invasive neuromodulation techniques).
- integration of the participant/patient perspective.
