Major research instrumentation investments from EUR 5,000 to EUR 200,000
Requirements for the application
In general, only capital goods with an investment volume of 5,000 to 200,000 euros (incl. VAT) can be applied for.
This also includes technically related investments of at least 5,000 euros (incl. VAT) - e.g. 50 chairs at 100 euros = 5,000 euros.
Special features:
- Individual combinations of different software products and licences are generally not permitted
- Procurement of consumables for laboratory supplies is not permitted
- Equipment to support teaching will not be considered; this will be forwarded to the Study Commission for possible financing from SQM funds
- Offers should not be sent with the application
Investment process
At the beginning of the year, the management of the BI sends the letter to the users eligible to apply. The incoming notifications of need/proposals are collected in a prioritised list. The resulting investment lists are prepared by the BI and then approved by the Presidential Board. Following the decision by the Executive Committee, the applicants receive an email requesting them to initiate the procurement process. Persons selected by the applicants receive an EDE purchasing authorisation from the BI office. The applicants order the approved investment by 30 June of the current year. Delivery and invoicing must be completed by 31 December of the current year.
