Tasks
§ Section 15 GWP Regulations: Responsibilities and tasks of the Commission for Good Academic Practice
- The Commission for Good Academic Practice is responsible for investigating allegations of academic misconduct against academics currently or formerly working at the University of Oldenburg or at cooperating institutions whose institutions have recognised these regulations as binding for themselves by means of a cooperation agreement. The procedure before the Commission does not replace other procedures regulated by law or the statutes. In particular, it is excluded by such procedures that are regulated in the study, examination, doctoral and habilitation regulations applicable at the University of Oldenburg.
- The Commission shall act on the proposal of a university or co-op ombudsperson within the meaning of Section 12 (5) or the President. The Commission may discontinue proceedings on suspicion of academic misconduct or submit proposals as to how the misconduct it has identified should be sanctioned (§§ 24 ff.).
