Current offers from the Family Service
- Workshop: "Studying with children: self-care & time for myself"
The workshop offers inspiration, opportunities for exchange and practical methods on the topics of self-care, stress and self-management in everyday student life with children. Together with the coach, participants will try out short relaxation exercises and develop strategies for (re)activating personal resources.
Date: 29 April 2026
Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: V01, Haarentor Campus
The workshop is aimed at students with children at the University of Oldenburg. Participation is free of charge, but places are limited to 12 people. Registrations can be made by email to until 14 April 2026.Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Kids' suitcase
A kids' suitcase from the Family Service can be borrowed from the Institute of Special Needs Education and Rehabilitation. Filled with lovingly selected toys and books for children up to 6 years of age, the wheeled suitcase is available free of charge to all students with children.
It can be borrowed via Stud.IP under the community group "Ausleihe Kid's-Koffer" (Kids' Suitcase Loan).
- Other services (flexible afternoon care, holiday care, childcare exchange...)
The Family Service offers expectant parents and parents a wide range of advice and support services. In the area of childcare in particular, there are several services available, e.g. flexible afternoon childcare, holiday childcare and the childcare exchange, which support students with children.
