Offers
The Cooperation Centre organises and moderates the dialogue between academia and the world of work. With a wide range of event formats and co-operation projects, we create lively spaces for exchange and networking between universities, trade unions and an interested public. Our aim is to make scientific findings accessible and usable for the world of work and to bring the interests, practical knowledge and problems of employees into the university. With our work, we want to contribute to the improvement of working and living conditions and to a socially and ecologically fairer, diversity-orientated society.
Our work
- Dissemination and transfer of knowledge from academia and the world of work
- Organisation of (regional) events such as conferences, lectures and workshops
- Participation in research projects and practical projects
for researchers and students
- Facilitating contacts with trade unions and representative bodies of regional companies and institutions
- Involvement in projects and research relating to the world of work
- Involvement in the application for and implementation of externally funded projects
- Development of and involvement in teaching formats on labour and social policy topics
- Support with enquiries regarding part-time jobs and work placements at the Campus Office (www.uol.de/saw)
For trade unionists and works and Staff Council members
- Facilitating contacts with academics, e.g. for specialist advice, the preparation of expert reports and as speakers
- Organisation of conferences and further training events
- Initiating and contributing to studies on issues relating to regional economic and social structures
- Facilitating the involvement of practitioners in research and teaching
