About 3GO
On this page you will find information on the tasks of the 3GO, its directorate and the organization as well as information on membership.
Tasks
- Provision of qualification and support measures for doctoral students, e.g. in the areas of methods, key qualifications
- Consultation and networking of doctoral candidates
- Development of services for doctoral students and their supervisors
- Support in doctoral supervision
- Support in the field of internationalization, e.g. Advice on stays abroad, funding opportunities
- Integration of international doctoral candidates
- Support in the development and (further) development of structured doctoral programs in the faculties
- Support of interdisciplinary collaborations, e.g. Research Training
- Participation in the further development and implementation of quality standards
Board of Directors
The graduate school is run by a board directors of four members of the university faculty group and four members of the doctoral students. For each faculty, one university professor and one doctoral candidate (and possibly representatives) are elected to the board for a two-year term.

In principle, all PhD students of the Faculties I, II (Department of Economics and Law), III and IV as well as the scientists of the participating faculties, who are entitled to supervise doctoral candidates and have the right to take examinations, can become members and members of the Graduate School.

Upon admission to the Graduate School, the doctoral candidate and the professorial members are also members of the Graduate Academy. Membership does not constitute an obligation to participate in structured programs.
