How can innovative business models secure the future of companies? And what role does sustainability reporting play in long-term success?
Today, the Förderverein Wirtschafts- und Rechtswissenschaften e.V. hosted the kick-off event of the new series “Science meets Business”!
With this format, we would like to bring researchers and students of the University of Oldenburg into conversation with company representatives. In a relaxed atmosphere with a cold drink and tasty snacks, two chairs from our department will each give exciting keynote speeches on current research topics.
Christian Busse, Ralf Ramke (CFO, BÜFA), and Christoph J. Sextroh kicked things off with two highly topical talks:
- Business Model Adaptation: Why can and should it fail?
- Sustainability Reporting: Cost block or added value potential?
The mixture of scientific depth, practical relevance and open exchange has shown: The dialog between research and business is not only useful, but absolutely necessary. Many thanks to all participants and speakers for the inspiring exchange and the great discussions over coffee and snacks.
We are already looking forward to the next rounds of Science meets Business on 18.06.25 and 19.11.25!
