Award in a "double pack"

Keno Faust and Patrick Neumann, apprentices as chemical laboratory technicians, passed their apprenticeship exams with an overall grade of "very good" and were therefore among the best examinees honoured by the Oldenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce at a ceremony.

They completed their training, which they were able to finish six months earlier, at the Institute of Pure and Applied Chemistry and the Institute of Chemistry and Biology of the Marine Environment at School V. To gain further qualifications, both decided to attend a specialised grammar school in order to be able to start a degree course afterwards. In recognition of their team achievement, Keno Faust (2nd from right) and Patrick Neumann (right) were once again commended by the Institute of Chemistry during the Chemistry Day on 4 November 2010. The awards were presented by Dr Julia Michaelis, Head of Chemistry Laboratory Technician Training, and Prof Dr Mathias Wickleder (Professor of Inorganic Chemistry).
