The university offers training in eleven different trades, the diversity of which was showcased by the trainees and their trainers at a careers fair at the weekend. Seven apprenticeship places are currently advertised – applications are open until 13 October.
At the stand at the “job4u” fair, interested visitors were able to chat with the apprentices and their trainers, as well as view and try out various exhibits – including a “lightsaber”. The Vice-President for Administration and Finance, Jörg Stahlmann, also paid a visit to the stand in the Weser-Ems-Halle.
Those interested could also find out about study opportunities at the university, as the Study and Career Counselling Service was on site for the first time this year. For degree programmes with no entry requirements, last-minute applicants can still enrol for the fast-approaching winter semester until 15 October. Applications for one of the apprenticeship places – whether as an IT specialist, a precision engineer, a chemical laboratory technician or a media designer – can still be submitted until 13 October.
