Five young women and ten young men have recently started their training at the University of Oldenburg. "We also offer exciting prospects in technology and administration as part of our vocational training programme," said Jörg Stahlmann, Vice President for Administration and Finance, at the official welcoming ceremony today. "The university is one of the largest employers in the region and assumes responsibility for the sound training of young people in workshops, laboratories and offices, for example."
This year, three future chemical laboratory technicians, three precision mechanics and two IT specialists are starting their training. The university is also training an animal keeper, two gardeners and an administrative assistant.
