The University of Oldenburg was also awarded the plaque of the "Vocational Training without Borders" network as a training company. 27 apprentices, including Fynn Schwietzer, a trainee IT specialist at our university, received so-called "European passports". Mr Schwietzer had previously successfully completed a 5-week internship in Northern Ireland (funded by the Erasmus+ programme). The company trainers present were also presented with a corresponding certificate. The recognition was presented by Marco Büchel, Chair of the European Affairs Committee in the Brandenburg state parliament, at a ceremony.
