On 31 August 2012, Ms Meiners had already been honoured by the Oldenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce as one of the 41 best candidates from the industrial-technical sector in the district. The award and certificate were presented by the Chair of the Oldenburg branch of the GDCh, Prof Dr Mathias Wickleder and Dr Julia Michaelis (Didactics of Chemistry).
