"The university is one of the largest employers in the region and also offers exciting prospects in technology, administration and communication as part of its academic appointments," said Jörg Stahlmann, Vice President for Administration and Finance, at the official introduction. "Starting a career is one of the most important steps for teenagers and young adults. In our workshops, laboratories and offices, we provide them with dedicated and well-founded support."

A chemical laboratory technician, two media and information services specialists specialising in library services, two IT specialists specialising in system integration, a precision mechanic and two administrative assistants specialising in state administration are currently starting their training. The new trainee from the Press and Communication department has been working for the university since March. In September and October, further apprentices will follow in the academic appointments of "Electronics technician for devices and systems" and "Animal keeper specialising in research and clinic".
