Research Interests and Project

  • Suspended soil
  • Bromeliads as models for micro-ecosystems studies
  • Leaf litter accumulation and decomposition in the canopy
  • Effect of altitudinal  gradients on organic matter and nutrient dynamics in suspended soils and epiphyte communities

My PhD thesis is focused on the effect of an altitudinal gradient on pools of organic matter, nutrient dynamics and growth in bromeliad communities in Veracruz, Mexico.
