Electrochemistry and Condensed Matter Interfaces
Physical Chemistry - Wittstock Group
The Wittstock group investigates local reactions at solid-liquid interfaces, in particular electrochemical reactions. Such reactions play an important role in several areas of applications, such as energy conversion and storage, in biomaterials and in analytical systems, For such interfaces we search for a basic understanding of their structure and reactivity. To this end the Wittstock group utilizes a broad range of electrochemical methods, scanning probe techniques and spectroscopic methods. We transmit the required theoretical knowledge and practical skills to the next generation of scientist within BSc, MSc and PhD programs.
