Computing Science taster programme
As a school pupil, you’re also welcome to ‘try out’ Computing Science lectures as a guest. The University of Oldenburg officially allows this kind of taster course, free of charge!
Winter semester courses usually run from mid-October to early February, whilst the summer semester courses run from April to July. You can find the exact term dates here.

Interested auditors are welcome to attend all lectures and large-group tutorials. No registration is required – you can simply take a seat in the lecture theatre. Please note, however, that sessions usually start ‘a quarter past’ the scheduled time (‘academic quarter’).

In order to strengthen your academic success in STEM subjects, the Ministry of Science and Culture of Lower Saxony and the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs of Lower Saxony have published a "Basic Mathematics Paper" in close cooperation, which contains many maths tasks from different areas. Dealing with these tasks can help you to refresh your school knowledge. You can find the basic paper as a pdf here
