Closing ceremony 2023

In a ceremony on Friday, 24 March, the School IV - School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Oldenburg bid farewell to 205 graduates. A total of 169 Bachelor's and 24 Master's students graduated in the past academic year. The School also awarded nine doctorates and three habilitations. Around 35 graduates received their certificates in person. Dean of Studies Prof Dr Wolfgang Weiß hosted the ceremony, Dean Prof Dr Dagmar Freist and graduate Annalena Kock, Master of Ecumenism and Religions, gave welcoming addresses. The supporting programme included musical performances by the "Schlagwerk Ossietzky" band from the Institute of Music and improvisation theatre by the "Improduction" group.

As part of the ceremony, the School also honoured Moritz Penshorn (Master's in European History), Cornelius Runtsch (Master's in Philosophy), Alica Johanna Saathoff (Master's in Ecumenism and Religions) and Veronika Oduro (Master's in Sport and Lifestyle) for their outstanding degrees.
