Effectiveness of the geriatric rehabilitation programme in elderly patients with heart disease
More than 10% of people over 70 suffer from heart disease. Many of these patients participate in geriatric rehabilitation.
Accordingly, the aim of the GerHeart study is to examine the effectiveness of regular geriatric rehabilitation for geriatric patients with a main cardiac diagnosis. Accordingly, functional tests are compared at the beginning and at the end of the rehabilitation stay and the contents and the workload of the rehabilitation are recorded. In the future, if necessary, the rehabilitation for geriatric patients with a main cardiac diagnosis will be optimised.
