23 June 2021: Magnetic sensitivity of cryptochrome 4 from a migratory songbird

Xu and colleagues have identified the magnetic sensitivity of cryptochrome 4 in the European robin (Erithacus rubecula). This insight sheds yet more light on the complexities of magnetoreception and how birds utilize quantum mechanics to find their way.
