“The most beautiful city in the world” is how Hamburg likes to describe itself. Of course, we want to take a closer look at this claim and therefore invite you to join us on an excursion to Hamburg.
We will meet at Oldenburg main station (South/Süd) at 8:15 AM and take the 8:35 AM train to Hamburg.
In Hamburg, we will explore some of the city’s most iconic highlights on foot. Our walk takes us through the Speicherstadt, including the Wasserschloss and Traditionsschiffhafen, before continuing to the impressive Elbphilharmonie, where we will enjoy the view over the harbour. From there, we will take a ferry to the Landungsbrücken and have time to stroll along the waterfront.
Depending on time and energy, we will continue either towards the lively Reeperbahn or into the city centre around Rathaus and Jungfernstieg. During the day, there will also be time for lunch (we recommend trying a classic Fischbrötchen or bringing your own packed lunch).
The guided part of the excursion ends at approximately 3:15 PM, after which you are free to continue exploring Hamburg or relax in the city. We will regroup for the return journey at 6:00 PM, before taking the 7:16 PM train back to Oldenburg, where we will arrive at approximately 9:23 PM.

Please note that the tour involves quite a bit of walking, so comfortable shoes are strongly recommended. We also suggest bringing snacks and having a good breakfast beforehand.
