Dear Linguists in Northwestern Germany,
We cordially invite you to the 11th Northwestern German Linguistic Colloquium (NWLK), which takes place on 07. and 08.12.2018 at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg.
In recent years, the NWLK has established itself as a platform for the exchange of knowledge by scientists from the universities of Bremen and Oldenburg, and Jacobs University. The aim of the colloquium is to promote networking between linguists working in Northwestern Germany. The two-day colloquium offers the opportunity to present current research projects and results beyond the borders of one's own university. Contributions from all disciplines of linguistics in the form of oral presentations (duration 20-30 minutes) or poster presentations are invited.
If you would like to participate actively, please send an abstract (max. 400 words) for a presentation or a poster to the e-mail address by 31.10.2018, stating the desired type of presentation, title, and author(s) in the body of the e-mail. For the 11th NWLK a separate block is planned for the presentation of posters. We would like to strongly encourage you to take this opportunity to present your research with a poster. In particular, we also invite students to present their research or thesis projects.
As always, there is also the possibility of passive participation; for this students are cordially invited as well. In order to ensure the smoothest possible planning, we also ask people who would like to participate in the NWLK without their own presentation or their own poster to register before 23.11.2018 via this website.
There is no conference fee. Further details will be announced in due time on the conference website and by e-mail.
We look forward to your participation in the 11th NWLK at the University of Oldenburg.
