PLAR process
What do you need to do?
- Your professional skills will not be recognized automatically, but on your initiative and upon your application.
- The first step towards successful recognition is to register in the PLAR community forum in Stud.IP, where you should register for an appointment for an initial consultation with the PLAR Service.
- If you wish to submit an application for recognition after the initial consultation, a further detailed consultation will follow in which the PLAR-Service will explain to you exactly how you can create your recognition portfolio.
- Once you have completed your portfolio, submit it to the PLAR-Service. There it will be checked for completeness and then forwarded to the Examinations Office.
- You have now completed your part in the PLAR process and can sit back and relax. The Examinations Office will forward your recognition portfolio, including the recognition application, to the recognition matters specialist of a subject in the schools for review. The Examinations Office usually receives feedback on the approval or justified rejection of your application within 10 weeks.
- The booking of recognized modules or the issuing of a letter of rejection in the event of rejection usually takes place within two weeks after the Examinations Office has received the feedback from the recognition matters specialist of a subject.
