As part of the “meet a scientist” program organized by the XperimenT! Research Center Northwest for school students, Dr. Annika Krause was invited to visit a secondary school in Oldenburg on January 28, 2026.
With her lecture “Learning behind bars. Second chances in the prison system,” she gave the 8th-grade students exciting insights into a world that is normally hidden behind high walls. A lively exchange ensued, during which the young people were able to ask numerous questions. This form of science communication proved to be a great success: it tied in directly with the current lesson topic and made research results more vivid and accessible for the students.
