One of the tasks the Staff Council carries out on a regular basis is to support recruitment panels (BKs).

We have frequently observed recently that meetings of the recruitment committees are scheduled for Tuesday mornings. At this time, the Staff Council holds its weekly morning meeting and is therefore unable to take part in the proceedings. This is because all Staff Council members are obliged to attend the weekly Staff Council meetings.

Regardless of whether they actually attend, the Staff Council – as well as the SBV and the JAV – must be given the opportunity to participate; otherwise, the Staff Council’s right to information is restricted, and insufficient or untimely information regarding a measure subject to co-determination may constitute grounds for rejection.

We would therefore ask that, if a recruitment panel meeting on a Tuesday is unavoidable, the schedule be arranged to start from 14:00. This will enable the Staff Council, as well as the SBV and the JAV, to attend the recruitment panel meetings.
