Research

The conservation of biodiversity in agricultural landscapes is of major importance for the functioning of several ecosystem services. However, intensive agriculture comes with a trade-off between productivity and biodiversity. To conserve habitats and ecosystem services, the Interreg NSR funded BEESPOKE project, uses ecological intensification to maintain high yields as well as food sources for pollinators. Different diverse plant mixtures for grasslands are being monitored for vegetation development, flowers as food sources and diversity of pollinators
