PPRE alumni, Wisdom Ahiataku Togobo (batch 1997-98), was recently honored at the 7th Ghana Energy Awards.
Wisdom Ahiataku Togobo has graduated from University of Oldenburg 25 years ago and has been workin in the renewable energy sector ever since. For his pioneering role in the development of RE technologies in Ghana, he was named the Green Chief Trailblazer at the 7th Ghana Energy Awards on November 17th, 2023. He has worked with the National Energy Board (NEB), the Energy Commission, the Ministry of Energy, and is now working with the Bui Power Authority. At this position, he currently contributes to several projects related to renewable energy. Furthermore, he has also worked with some development partners including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the World Bank, JICA, DANIDA and others to source funcing for the implementation of various renewable energy projects in Ghana. Due to his engagement, he has been recognized by ECREE and IRENA for the advancement of the renewable energy industry in West Africa. He is committed to promoting sustainable development and improving the lives of people through the use of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and environmental management in Ghana.
