One week ago, the final ceremony of our SuRE, EMRE and REO graduates took place!

Last Friday, February 16th, we celebrated the PPRE final ceremony, which marks a momentous occasion to honor the accomplished graduates of our programs SuRE, EMRE, and REO of the year 2023. The beautifully organized festivity was a testament to the dedication and achievements of the graduating cohorts.

Professor Dr. Carsten Agert, the esteemed director of our program, graced the gathering with an eloquent keynote speech, instilling inspiration among the attendees. To add to the great event, Professor Dr. Michael Wark, the dean of our faculty, and Professor Dr. Katharina Al-Shamery, the university’s vice president for academic careers, equal opportunities, and international affairs, delivered motivational guest speeches that resonated with the essence of the occasion.

A SuRE batch student, Hazem Abdelrahman, offered a poignant insight into the graduates' journey, but also appealed to strengthening the study programs to allow even more talented students to qualify in renewable energies. Lastly, our program manager, Dr. Herena Torio, eloquently expressed a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts that led to this momentous day.

The ceremony was masterfully guided by Aarcha Santosh, an EMRE graduate, who skillfully navigated the audience through the afternoon, seamlessly blending academic proceedings with personal reflections from both students and PPRE faculty. A highlight of the event was a heartfelt video presentation by the graduates, showcasing their cherished moments at PPRE, evoking a spectrum of emotions from joy and laughter to tears among the audience. Undoubtedly, it was a fitting conclusion to their academic journey, making bidding farewell a bittersweet endeavor.

Gratitude is extended to all those involved in orchestrating this enchanting ceremony. It is our fervent hope that the tradition of student-organized final ceremonies remains a central and enduring aspect of the PPRE experience. To our graduates, heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the future! We eagerly anticipate staying connected through our alumni news and look forward to hearing of your continued success.
