Our PPRE alumni, Ram Prasad Dhital (PPRE 2001-02), shares about his newest achievement being appointed as the Chairman of the Electricity Regulatory Commission (ERC), Nepal, by the Council of Ministers:

»Today, I took the oath of office and secrecy for the position of Chairman of the Electricity Regulatory Commission, administered by the Honorable Minister, and assumed office. Additionally, I administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed members. ERC was established in 2019 as per ERC Act 2017 and Regulation 2018. The main objective of ERC is to regulate the generation, transmission, distribution and trade of electricity in Nepal by introducing and implementing various regulatory instruments.«
