Erasmus+ Semester Abroad/Internship Abroad

  • Duration: 2-12 months
  • Semester abroad and internship abroad can be combined
  • Internship abroad also possible after graduation
  • Special funding for students and graduates with disabilities (from GdB30) (application: home university)
  • Attention: Cost absorption is subordinate

Erasmus+ Vocational Training

  • Duration: 2-365 days
  • For: Trainees in dual education according to BBiG or HWO, students of vocational schools, students of specialised secondary schools, students of specialised secondary schools and students of specialised secondary schools, persons in vocational training preparation, dual students with a registered training relationship with a chamber, retrainees, persons in formally ordered further education courses according to state or federal law, graduates of the above-mentioned education courses up to one year after graduation, educational staff: Persons in the field of vocational education and training, for example trainers, teachers, heads of training institutions, persons responsible for training planning, personnel development and vocational training preparation.
  • Accompanying persons can be supported for the whole or part of the duration of the activity.
  • 100 € additional organisational costs per participant with fewer opportunities
  • Additional 100% of the actual costs for stays abroad of persons with fewer opportunities if justified, for example: special accompanying persons, higher travel costs, higher costs for accommodation, costs for preventive health care

AusbildungWeltweit (Training Worldwide) (funding programme of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research)

  • Duration: 3 weeks to 3 months
  • Specifically planned, company-based practical placements for (first-time) trainees in all countries worldwide (with the exception of countries in the EU, where Erasmus+ funding applies).
  • Funding can be applied for by: training companies, vocational schools, chambers, inter-company vocational training centres, intermediary institutions related to vocational training (multipliers: training centres, foundations, associations, professional organisations); not possible: applications by individuals.
  • Possibility for accompanying persons for participants with special needs (parallel to the trainee stay or for a shorter period of time for introduction)
  • Funding of special needs for participants with impairments or disabilities.
  • Funding is also available for: Preparatory visits (2 to 5 days) for future trainee stays (can be carried out by trainers, teachers, other persons responsible for in-company vocational training); short visits (2-12 days) for in-company trainers.
