Regulations for the use of the holdings in the Wechloy campus library
1. general information
The Regulations for Library Services of the University of Oldenburg (PDF) apply to the Wechloy Campus Departmental Library. The following regulations apply to the use of the holdings of the Departmental Library.
2 Borrowing
2.1 Items may be borrowed using the user card at the circulation desk of the Departmental Library. The automatic recording of the borrowing process is considered proof that the item has been handed over.
2.2 The loan period is 14 days. It can be extended online or on site up to six times, provided there are no reservations. It is not possible to submit a proposal to extend the loan period by post, fax or telephone.
2.3 The administration of the Departmental Library may exclude works from loan or restrict their loan. In particular, it may temporarily block individual works or groups of literature from being borrowed or, if borrowed, reclaim them.
3 Special use outside opening hours
3.1 Members of the university and members of the university with a valid user card can obtain access authorisation (key) from the administration of the departmental library on proposal, as long as they can prove that they are employed by the university.
3.2 Authorised persons (see section 3.1) have access to the library outside opening hours and the possibility of borrowing media with the loan period set for the departmental library (see section 2.2). Loan slips on display must be used for borrowing items outside opening hours. One loan slip per item must be completed in full, signed and deposited in the collection box at the central information desk (E1). The administration of the departmental library then records the information automatically.
