Rehabilitation Counseling Education - Master's Programme

Orientation and Goals

At the start of the 21st century, German society is facing a multitude of far-reaching changes that will have a significant impact on the health and care system. In the current debates on inclusion (participation and involvement) in societal, social and educational policy processes, it is becoming clear that modern societies are increasingly shaped by processes of inclusion and exclusion. Particularly in the field of modern, interdisciplinary healthcare, international discussions are taking place on care structures in the context of nursing, education, rehabilitation and social justice. In this regard, Germany, too, faces the task of establishing inter- and transdisciplinary health services research through collaboration between medical professionals, health scientists, educators, rehabilitation specialists and social scientists.

Particular emphasis is placed on people with psychosocial, cognitive and/or neurological impairments and their participation.
