Why should I register on the German Studies listserver?

The German Studies listserver is designed to provide you with all important information relating to the subject of German Studies quickly and easily via email. As soon as you have registered on the German Studies listserver, you will automatically be kept up to date by email, e.g. with regard to changes in the course catalogue, unscheduled lectures, cancelled courses, important dates and information on examination matters, etc. etc.

(To emphasise the urgency: In August 2023, the listserver automatically removed around 450 email addresses from the Germanistik list in a single day , which could only be restored from there thanks to the fact that this was immediately reported to IT services),

Send an email in text format (not HTML!) to Leave the subject line blank. Write the following text in the email: subscribe.

After a few seconds you will receive a confirmation email with information about the listserver. In this email, you must click on "Reply" again and send the email back without any additions
(you can find help for Web.de users here! The instructions may also be helpful for all other users who receive an error message when confirming their registration by clicking on "Reply").
