ICBM supports junior scientists
The ICBM supports young scientists in all areas of their scientific work and at various stages of their careers.
Students and PhD students are in various transitions throughout their doctoral studies, where they often have to make difficult decisions. After completing their master's degree, they must decide whether to pursue a doctorate or to start a career with their first or second vocational qualification. Further, whether they are e.g. aim for a career in science or in the e.g. industry after graduation. An important task in the support of young scientists at the ICBM is therefore to support doctoral candidates in coping with such transitions and to provide them with the necessary skills.
The ICBM provides junior scientists with an ideal environment to achieve professional excellence and develop the personal skills needed for their future careers. At the same time, we offer numerous possibilities for scientific exchange and professional cooperation between the various disciplines in the marine sciences.
