Travel information and Addresses
The course will start at the ICBM in Wilhelmshaven. Participants are expected to arrive on Sunday, July 30, 2017 in the afternoon.
The closest international airport is Bremen. Bremen is connected to bigger international airports by shuttle flights. From Frankfurt or Hamburg, there is are also fast train connections to Bremen. From Bremen there are hourly train connections to Wilhelmshaven main station (Hbf). From the train station to ICBM we will organize a pick-up service.

From Bremen airport to Bremen main station (Hauptbahnhof, Hbf): take the tram #6 (16 min travel time)
From Bremen main station (Hauptbahnhof, Hbf) to Wilhelmshaven train station (Hbf) via Oldenburg: by train (about 2 h), with a change of trains in Oldenburg. Due to construction works on weekends, you will have leave the train at Varel and continue to WHV by bus (Bus SEV). This is well organized and even indicated in the schedules. Trains are operating hourly.
From Wilhelmshaven train station to ICBM: We will organize a pick-up service on Sun July 30, 2017 in the afternoon.
The walking distance via the historical Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge is 2,6 km.
Local bus line #6 is operating every 30 min from Wilhelmshaven central bus station (ZOB) to stop "Kaiser Wilhelm Brücke/Südstrand" (4 min). The remaining walking distance to ICBM is about 1 km.
The Institute for Chemistry and Biology of the Marine Environment (ICBM) is located in Oldenburg and in Wilhelmshaven.
