If you find yourself facing questions like these (in contexts like developing degree programmes further or preparing for a degree programme review), the focus group method can be helpful, especially when insufficient survey results (or none at all) are available. These moderated group discussions can be held as face-to-face or online events for groups of different sizes (but no more than 30 people). The way they are structured and guided ensures that they can generate meaningful answers to your questions.
