Project Management Handbook
In addition to day-to-day business, there is always something to change and improve. We often set up projects to work on our plans. Before or during the project, questions usually arise such as „Is this even a project?“ and "What do I have to do now?"
A project – hooray or help?
We say it can be both. In our view, a project deserves a “hooray” because it brings something new to the university and that’s a good thing. But a project isn’t possible without some “help”. After all, no one completes a project alone behind closed doors.
In order to support colleagues in central administration in their project work, we’ve published this “Project Management Handbook” online and aim to continuously update it. The handbook clearly sets out how projects in central administration are to be planned and carried out.
The handbook is structured as follows:
- Basic information
- Success factors
- Standards for central administration
- Project phases
- Documents and tools at a glance
The administration portal contains the latest version of the corresponding, detailed sub-processes and documents.
These pages provide tried-and-tested project management tools. As Central Project Management (CPM), we're happy to support our colleagues in their projects and project proposals: from the initial idea, to planning and implementation, and finally completion. We lend a “critical eye” to a project plan, or moderate meetings such as kick-off meetings or closing meetings. We're here to listen to any project-related issues.
We’d love to receive your feedback and ideas on this handbook at
