The physics practical in the Physics I module for environmental science students (phy930) – a basic practical worth 3 CP – is a compulsory component of the two-semester Physics I module for environmental science students, which is worth a total of 12 CP.

The practical course is offered each summer semester. In the preceding winter semester, students have attended Part I of the lecture course ‘Physics for Students of Chemistry and Environmental Sciences’. In parallel with the practical course, they attend Part II of this lecture course during the summer semester.

A seminar worth 1 credit point runs alongside the practical course; this is also a compulsory component of the Physics I module for environmental science students.

Successful completion of the practical course is a prerequisite for passing the module.

The physics laboratory course in the Physics II module for environmental science students (mar110) – an advanced laboratory course worth 3 CP – is a compulsory component of the Physics II module for environmental science students, which has a total value of 9 CP.

The practical course is offered each summer semester. In the preceding winter semester, students will have attended the Hydrodynamics lecture (3 CP) and the associated practical (2 CP).

A seminar worth 1 credit point runs alongside the practical course; this is also a compulsory component of the Physics II module for environmental science students.

Successful completion of the practical course is a prerequisite for passing the module.
