Welcome to the website of the team "Pedagogy and didactics for intellectual development impairments with special consideration of inclusive educational processes". 

Our team is dedicated to the research and teaching of people with so-called intellectual disabilities in various phases and areas of life. In particular, we focus on questions of participation and education as well as the professionalisation of educational professionals. To this end, we utilise both theoretical-analytical and empirical approaches.

In teaching, it is important to us to achieve a link between theory and practice through certain university didactic formats such as excursions, explorations and case work. At the same time, we would like to motivate students to gain knowledge through the independent examination of theory or through the application of scientific methods in order to be able to reflect on their own practical experiences on this basis.
