The pedagogy of behavioural disorders focuses on (young) people and the conditions that shape their behaviour. Behavioural disorders are multifactorial, arise from complex conflicts and stresses and are neither a characteristic nor a personal trait.

The focus is on prevention, intervention and rehabilitation measures as the basis of a supportive and understanding educational approach in order to ensure school and social participation, strengthen skills and open up paths for education, development and participation.
