Taster course
Event types
Taster courses are part of the regular teaching programme. It is therefore completely normal if you can only follow the content to a limited extent.
There are the following types:
Lecture
A course in the form of a lecture that provides an overview of a specific subject area. Lectures are often held in front of large groups of students (up to several hundred).
Seminar
In a seminar, students work on a specific topic in a small group under the guidance of a lecturer. The seminar is characterised by the participation of the students in the form of discussions or, for example, presentations on detailed questions (guests are of course not obliged to do so!).
Tutorial
A course, usually in a small group, which serves to deepen the material of a lecture, in some subjects to work on exercises.
Tutorial
In a tutorial, students repeat and deepen the material of a course (lecture, seminar or exercise) together with a tutor - usually a student in a higher semester.
