Project description:
The aim of this study is to develop an intervention for relatives who care for their family members from a distance. The focus is on digital formats, as we were able to show in a previous study on distance caregiving that there is a growing need for better digital networking in this constellation in order to bridge the physical distance. The study follows a participatory approach that involves those affected, stakeholders, service providers, and experts in the development of the intervention. The resulting intervention has been implemented with 40 relatives who care for a family member with dementia in their own home and evaluated in terms of its feasibility and practicability.
