The current steering committee of the CBI is integrated by an executive board and a scientific coordinator. The executive board is integrated by four professors from the field of health sciences, two from each side of the border.

Prof. Dr. Kathrin Boerner

Prof. Dr. Kathrin Boerner completed her academic training in Germany. After studying psychology at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel and the University of Trier, she completed her doctorate at the FU Berlin, while holding an academic affiliation to Harvard Medical School. She heads the newly established Division of Prevention and Rehabilitation Research at the Department of Health Services Research in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg. Prof. Dr. Mariët Hagedoorn

Prof. Dr. Mariët Hagedoorn is professor of Health Psychology at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). Her research is focused on couples dealing with chronic disease (i.e., dyadic coping), health behavior in a dyadic context, informal caregiving, eHealth, and intensive longitudinal designs (e.g. couple diary studies).
 

 

Prof. Dr. Stefan Pichler

Prof. Dr. Stefan Pichler is an Associate Professor at RUG since November 2021. His research is in the field of applied health and labor economics. In particular, he analyzes the interaction of social security systems with labor markets and population health. Another focus of his work are the economic consequences of diseases. His research has been published in leading international field journals such as Journal of Human Resources, the Journal of Public Economics, and the Journal of Health Economics, but also in multidisciplinary and policy journals such as Health Affairs and PNAS. Prof. Dr. Lars Schwettmann

Prof. Dr. Lars Schwettmann is professor for Health Economics at the Faculty of Medicine and Sciences at the University of Oldenburg since December 2022. His research topics include health services research with special focus on regional inequality and vulnerable groups, prevention and health behavior, life-course specific events, and health economic evaluation.

Dr. Adriana Pérez Fortis

Dr. Adriana holds a licentiate degree in Psychology by the Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP) Mexico, a master degree in Clinical and Health Psychology by the University of Granada, Spain, a master in science in Clinical and Psychosocial Epidemiology as well as a PhD by the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) / University of Groningen. She is currently, the scientific coordinator of the CBI.
