The University of Oldenburg is committed to effective protection against sexualized discrimination and violence, and actively implements the requirements of the General Act on Equal Treatment (AGG). Through the Guideline against Sexualized Discrimination and Violence ('Richtlinie gegen sexualisierte Diskriminierung und sexuelle Gewalt'), the conTakt Counselling Centre for Sexualized Discrimination and Violence Issues was established. conTakt is available to all students and employees of the university. The service is aimed at affected individuals, supporters of the affected and observers of abusive or dubious situations. In addition, the Counselling Centre offers information and support for persons and multipliers who would like to take preventive or interventive action against sexualized discrimination and violence.
